Heritage Line Violet Cruise

I worked with Dzung Nguyen of INSIDE TRAVEL to assist me with planning a short trip to Northern VietNam. She was a pleasure and exchanged perhaps 100 email dealing with my trip to Hanoi and Halong Bay. She was sensitive to my desire to stray away from the normal tour routine and have a truly private and unusual experience. She arranged my Hanoi guide; she coordinated lunch at a "non tourist" restaurant; she made certain that the sights that I wanted to see were included. Same with my travel to Halong Bay and the cruise she planned---great execution and attention to detail. Prices were fair as well but the real value add is the attention to detail and willingness to accommodate the requests of the customer. I highly recommend Dzung.

It's very well designed and very comfortable. The cabins are good sized and in room facilities are excellent. Great food and a nice variety. The only thing I would recommend is that you offer tea & coffee after the evening meal when serving desert. The staff are very friendly, helpful, polite and very well-dressed. Nothing is too much trouble. Brilliant staff. Visit to the villages are fascinating and provide a good insight into the life of the ordinary people. It was really fantastic. The whole experience was great.

Well, what to say now, it just have been like that from the moment we arrived here until now. We were stunned by its beauty, nature, fresh atmosphere and environment. It looks much better than any of its picture and exactly word for is that it is a real dreamy picture. From what we have been through in this lovely country, we had a quite nice and different imagination about it from what knew before. Just perfect!!!

We participated in a 3-day tour on Violet Cruise with Halong Luxury company last week. We got a pickup at half past 8 AM from Hanoi and got there at 11:30. They gave us some relaxation on board with a delicious lunch and light musics while the boat set sails. After a short break, the boat anchored in a secluded beach for passengers get down and swim. The beach was totally private with some small natural pools on the shore for kids. The water was silent, we felt more like swimming in a lake than in the sea. The huge islets all around make the swim priceless. We got back onto the boat to continue the trip just when we realized that our room was just like a 5-star hotel room with a splendid king size bed and wide windows all around that provided a panoramic view to Halong bay right from cozy bed. The bathroom had a big bathtub with hot water and all the luxurious toiletries in a hotel. I would recommend this tour because they planned it so well. We could both relax and enjoy some active activities like kayaking and exploring the hidden caves in Halong that we never felt bored!

The Violet Cruise brought me a superb experience. My room was spacious, cozy, and quiet so that I could sleep well. The food was delicious; I loved salty Chinese braised pork, soft and fresh shrimps. The staff were helpful and agile to serve passengers. The buffet on deck was quite a night with good food and gentle Vietnamese music. Halong Bay was a charming place to visit. It is highly recommended to take Violet Cruise to Halong and experience it first-hand.
