Being the newest member of the Paukan Cruises family with the name RV Raukan 2012, this cruise was first launched in September of 2012. Coming with RV Raukan 2012, guests can feela solid but well-designed ship made of teak. Enjoy the beautifully decorated timber walls and floors with a touch of Burma culture from beginning to end of customary motifs, timber figures, fabrics and paintings as well. You can enjoy the best view of the river from spacious balcony in private cabins or from the sundeck on board.  Elite, yet gracious, we have the high quality of crew on the Irrawaddy. The dining room with a capacity for 34 is a spacious hall on the main deck where every morning a lavish and scrumptious breakfast buffet is served. The other meals are prepared with loving care for freshness and incredible tastes by experienced chefs. If you are a vegetarian, inform the steward in advance.

Local flavors will be brought to you in fresh, diverse and delicious dishes. Have a good taste of authentic flavors of Burma with many seafood, fresh herbs and green vegetables.

The lounge on the upper deck seats 16 and the open deck with a wellstocked bar leading out from it seats 15. We had a wonderful trip from Bagan to Mandalay on the RV Paukan 2012. The boat itself is beautifully fitted , the cabin we stayed in was luxurious and could not have been better. The staff were highly attentive , hosted us so well throughout the journey . We had 2 trips on to land from the Irriwaddy to see villages that were making baskets and terracotta containers . I would strongly recommend this boat and its staff

It was an amazing experience to have cruised the Irrawaddy River with RV Paukan 2012. It was truly pampering. Great service and attention from about 30 staff on board to making the experience as comfortable as possible for only 9 guests at that time. The food at every meal was great, a fine dining experience at one point at dinner. The one stop at pot making village was truly educational and an eye opener of how life and living on those areas. There’s a movie show at night for entertainment. Other than that, it’s a relaxing day and night to watch the sunset and sunrise at the deck. There’s only 2 things that I would comment/feedback on this cruise. With the costs that we paid on this cruise, I would have expected that other than normal coffee such as cappuccino or espresso would be free of charge. And also, crew will act as porter for our luggages and not a porter outside the staff for us to pay. Its not expensive though. But, I would have expected that those are included and free of charge. Anyways, it was a great experience and friends of ours are also wanting to experience and do the cruise with you.
