Admire one of Japan’s three best night views on Mount Inasayama
Along with Mount Hakodate (Hakodate) and Mount Maya (Kobe), Mount Inasa in the heart of Nagasaki city is ranked among the three best night views in Japan. The mount rises 333 meters high from the city center, providing spectacular 360° views of the thriving port city overlooking Kyushu and the Sea of Japan as well as making for a perfect viewpoint for sunset and nighttime cityscape. Visitors can choose either walking up to the summit in around 50 minutes or taking the Nagasaki Ropeway from the Fuchi Shrine stop in just 5 minutes. At the top, you will see several television and radio antennas, the Mt. Inasa Observatory and its inside restaurant. While the restaurant offers great local dishes and cozy ambiance for a romantic dinner, the observation platform is the favorite site of local residents and tourists alike to admire the city twinkling in neon lights.
