Admire the fastinating tradtional show of Tharu Culture Program
The Tharu Culture Program, which is organized at Sauraha and Meghauli, plays an important role to entertain the tourist visiting Chitwan National Park and to introduce the Tharu Culture and tradition to the tourists. Majority of people arriving at Chitwan will have the chance to experience this amazing indigenous cultural program. Starting during dinner time and lasting around 45 minutes, it is a true story-telling show of Tharu people about things that are central to their lives in rural Nepal, such as the harvest and their cultural ceremonies. You will gather outside, seated around the courtyard, and the performers- Tharu people- in their ethnic costumes, will sing and dance in the middle. You can expect to see some highlighted Tharu folk dances such as Danda Nach (Stick Dance) and Ago Nach (Fire Dance) and Mayur Nach (Peacock Dance). Admire the traditional song and dance of Tharu villagers in their cultural dress, join in the dancing yourself, and enjoy a rewarding meal after the program.
