Conquer one of the most popular trekking route - Everest Base Camp
Everest Base Camp or South Base Camp in Nepal is one of the most popular trekking routes in the Himalayas that has been attracting thousands of travelers to make the trek each year. Settled on the Khumbu Glacier at the foot of Everest, at an altitude of 5,500 metres, this camp is reached over a period of nine days with plenty of time to stop for a rest and a chat. Starting from Lukla, a lovely town perched on a mountainside, the trek will lead up to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar at 3,440 metres in two days, then another two days to Dingboche, at 4,260 metres, before taking last two days to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep at 5,545 metres and Mt. Pumori. Among trekking days, climbers will spend a day of rest for acclimatization as the altitude where there is 50% less oxygen compared to sea level can prevent travelers reaching the base camp. Also, spending more time in the site, taking a slow pace, eating good food and sleeping well will make your trip more relaxed and enjoyable.
