Established in 1859, the Botanic Gardens is the Singapore’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized in 2015. For tourist, the 60 acres of recreational garden is a treasure trove for nature lovers. Meanwhile, with the locals, it is a favorite venue for jogging, dining or just lazing about. The main highlight of the Botanic Gardens is the National Orchid Garden which owns the world’s largest orchid display with over 60,000 plants.
