Fall into the paradise of lavenders in Furano
Famous for its great weather, beautiful vineyards and water sports, Furano’s colourful flower fields are what it's most famous for, especially the vast Lavender fields which lure large numbers of visitors to the little town every summer. Lavender has been cultivated in Hokkaido, Japan, for more than half a century, from agricultural product to tourist attraction. Every July when the lavender fields are in full bloom, Furano becomes an attractive destination for Japanese visitors and international tourists alike. Numerous flower fields of various sizes all across Furano are open to the public, but the best place to see lavender may be Farm Tomita. This large lavender paradise with the Tokachi mountain range as backdrop makes for a pleasant and picturesque rural landscape like nowhere on earth. Another popular farm for lavender is the Flower Land Kamifurano that offers visitors some of hands on experiences such as lavender cutting and flower pressing.
