There are several stopovers on the way from Ende to Moni, but ensure that you pay visits to Wologai and Koanara traditional villages. Both attractions are famous for traditional houses built in Lionese architectural style. The conical shape of houses makes them unique buildings to contemplate. You’ll find different houses in the villages with separate functions. There are houses for daily lives, keeping the harvested, or traditional rituals. Talk with local people to learn their tradition and way of life. Remember that you are not allowed to go up to the center of the village as it’s the sacred place for ritual and the head clan.
