Sagada Underground River
Tucked away the lush greenery and rock cliffs of the Mountain Province, Philippines, is the hidden beauty of Sagada Underground River. Following the well established trail through rice paddies, along the river and dense vegetation, you will find a huge opening of this river with a mystic aura from the dark inside of the cave. Unlike the one found in Puerto Princesa, the underground river of Sagada can be explored by walking from one point to the end. A flashlight is absolutely essential. Inside the cave, the river pebbled banks serve as natural pathways leading to some glistening blue pools. Visitors will also see plenty of interesting rock formations and picturesque stalactites, and sometimes hear bats swooping around, making the ambiance a little eerie and chilling. But overall, it will be an unforgettable experience in Sagada.
