Take a boat ride in Fateh Sagar lake
In the northwestern part of the main Udaipur city, to the north of the famous Pichola lake lies the beautiful Fateh Sagar lake, an other artificial lake built in 1651 that is regarded as the pride of Udaipur. Being the second largest artificial lake in the city, the lake was named after Maharana Fateh Singh of Udaipur and Mewar. Fateh Sagar boasts about a picturesque setting with Aravali hills at its three sides along with the calm ripples, sparkling blue water, and colorful flora around the lake, which created mesmerizing landscape reflecting the tranquility and perfect harmony of nature and man-made works. Taking a scenic boat ride on the lake of Fateh Sagar, especially during the time of spectacular sunsets, is an experience to remember here as it offers all-encompassing views of the graceful surroundings with gorgeous hues of the dusk. There are three little islands offering many enjoyable activities, among of which the most visited one is a garden amidst the lake, Nehru Park, a lovely open space with a boat-shaped restaurant.
