Chimi Lhakhang, which is known with its English name The Fertility Temple, is a unique part of the cultural heritages' richness in Bhutan. The temple idyllically situates on a round hillock in Sopsokha Village, Punakha District and the only way to get here is taking a short hike through the paddy fields spreading along the walk from the village to the Temple. The walk is a blissful excursion as people can immerse in the beauties of marvelous landscapes, the lush greenery, rolling mountains, peaceful villages and refreshing atmosphere as well. But the most unusually impressive experience that make Chimi Lhakhang even more special to tourists is the phallus belief which can be easily seen in every corner of the villages and the temple itself.
