Tappiya Waterfalls in Banaue
Not far from the small village of Batad, among the Ifuago rice terraces in the valley of the Cordillera mountains, Banaue, Philippines, there is a wonderful cascading waterfall for the adventurous tourists to explore that’s named Tappiya Waterfalls. To get to this hidden treasure, visitors need to take a physically demanding hike for an hour along the luscious green terraces and the tricky descent. As the trek takes you up and down steep steps, among narrow rice terraces, and muddy slippery trails, a walking stick is absolutely essential. Upon arrival, Tappiya Falls will welcome you with a very serene sound and a powerful falling river that surely free you from weariness and exhaustion. You can also take a refreshing bath in its enormous natural pool at the base but note that swimming near the falling water could be dangerous.
