Trek to Kemantis Waterfall
Kemantis Waterfall is a well off the beaten path that deserves a highlight during the trip to Kinabalu Park. Nestled deep in the pristine forests in the rural Sayap, Kemantis still remains its inherent natural beauties with the gorgeous stream cascades down small rocky outcrops that are glazed in bright green moss and sweeping vines stretched from one side to the opposite. There is also a small natural plunge pool at the base of the waterfall that allows to swim and relax. Getting soaked into the cool mineral fresh water from the mountain source is an incredibly revitalizing experience. The waterfall is rarely visited, hence it seems to be more attractive to those seeking a place where can feature a truly untouched vibe.
