Uncover the secrets of Phou Asa Mountain and its enigmatic ruins in Champasak
Just a short distance from the village of Ban Khiet Ngong, Phou Asa (Asa Mountain) offers visitors a steady climb to the top and visit around its ancient ruins. The place once stood a grand temple structure, now a surrounding rectangle of 108 distinctive and unique stone pillars, each made of plate-like rocks and overgrown by trees and brush. From the summit, you can admire a stunning view over the forests of Xe Pian and Dong Hua Sao National Park as well as large areas of the southern part of Laos.
