Visit the massive Preah Khan Temple and Neak Pean in Siem Reap
Located on the Grand Circuit, Preah Khan Temple is definitely a highlight for your Angkorian temple discovery in Siem Reap. Generally not as crowded as others in the Angkor complex, this grand temple is mostly unrestored with trees crawling up the walls, offering a peaceful ambiance to appreciate the magnificent structure and excellent carvings. Follow the long walkway, you’ll reach Neak Pean, a Buddhist temple built on an artificial island during King Jayavarman VII’s reign. Though you can’t enter or get close, it’s a beautiful sight to take a picture or admire the temple reflection on the still water.
