FAQS About Indonesia Nature & Wildlife Tours

Can I add Jakarta Half day City tour on the first day of the tour? I want to visit Puppet museum, Taman Mini Indonesia and Kite Museum as well.

For itinerary in Jakarta, Im pleased to amend the itinerary to include the Puppet museum. For Taman Mini Indonesia Indah and Kite Museum, if we want to visit these 2 destinations, we will need to start the tour from 8:00 AM. Because we do not know what time you will arrive Jakarta, I presume it wouldn’t work unless you arrive in Jakarta at dawn time.

Can I book the flights myself? I found a deal with price is nearly 1/2 with yours.

Regarding the flight from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, I’m pretty sure the price ½ you see is the one that hasn’t included luggage. Nevertheless, pleased kindly note that these are the airfares which you have to book and pay directly with the airlines and it can be changed at any time without prior notice. Normally, we always choose the mid-range prices which have good terms and conditions but not the cheapest or highest airfares that will help us to save costs if we need to change the flight at the last minute. This is a necessary back up the helps us to deal with the problems that may arise. As you know, for some kind of ticket, a revision or cancellation is not permitted. I hope that make sense to you. However, if you find the deal of cheaper price for flights, I’m happy to remove it in the itinerary so you can book it yourself. (I will deduct it in the invoice for remaining balance)

We want to see Mola-Mola (sunfish). Do we get to dive or snorkel in Nusa Penida?

For your information, Mola-Mola can be found in Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan and Mola-Mola is a seasonal fish, particularly between July – September is the best month we can see them. They are often found quite deep though (18m to 40m) and only highly experienced divers can dive downside due to strong current. If you still want to have a chance to dive and find the Mola-Mola, we can arrange an extra dive in Nusa Penida on a day trip. However, please note that we cannot guarantee that you will be able to see them since they live in their natural habitat, and even in the Mola-Mola seasons, it is quite difficult to find them.

We read that Raja Ampat has excellent snorkeling/diving. Is this location not connected to Bali and it is easier to do a trip there?

For your information, Raja Ampat is a remote archipelago in Indonesia and it is a top destination for divers and snorkelers. We can arrange tour services to Raja Ampat and before you decide to visit the island, please note some important information about it below: Flight: The Raja Ampat Islands are an Indonesian archipelago off the northwest tip of Bird’s Head Peninsula in West Papua. To reach Raja Ampat you can fly either from Jakarta which has direct flight to Sorong or from Bali which needs 1 time transit in Makassar then continue flying to Sorong. It takes a long time to reach Sorong and the flights are late. (Jakarta to Sorong is at 00:30 – 06:35. If you fly from Bali, you must fly to Makassar first at 21:30–23:00 then from Makassar to Sorong at 02:40 – 06:05). Both the flights are quite expensive (around 300USD per way per person). When you arrive in Sorong in the morning, you must take the boat to Waisai - the capital of Raja Ampat and it will take about 2 hours. Therefore, it takes a very long time to reach Raja Ampat. Stay period: To have a maximum snorkeling or diving trip, you should stay a minimum of 8 days and 7 nights in Raja Ampat. Accommodation: Please note that Raja Ampat is located on a remote island. Most of the accommodations are homestay with less facilities or traditional eco resorts which are built to protect nature. There is no modern accommodation available in Raja Ampat Islands. Diving: Diving Raja Ampat is recommended for certified and experienced divers with a minimum of 50 log dives. Divers are to bring their own gear / equipment for utmost comfort. Tour Package Raja Ampat: Due to Raja Ampat located in the remote area, it made the tour to Raja Ampat will be more expensive compared with other destinations in Indonesia.

Do you know if the Long House, the Bamboo House and the Guest House Kapuas River have mosquito nets for the beds? Please let us know this as soon as possible so we can purchase netting if needed.

Im pleased to inform you that The Long House, Bamboo House and Guest House Kapuas River has mosquito nets for bed, so you dont have to buy it in advance, we have already equipped it

I believe that someone will be picking us up at Palangka Raya airport. Am I correct? We just want to make sure. What is the name of the tour company in country? I am guessing that they will have some sort of signage so I would like to know what to look for.

Our guide will pick you up from Palangka Raya Airport, our guide and driver will hold your name board – Asia Tours with your name to welcome you so you can easily see them.

Any chance to go to Pangkalan Bun first from Jakarta for Tanjung Puting, then go to Balikpapan?

Yes, they can go to Pangkalan Bun first from Jakarta and then back again to Jakarta for Balikpapan. Another alternative use daily flight from Pangkalan Bun to Balikpapan via Surabaya. The last option is use direct flight from Pangkalan Bun to Balikpapan which is available every: Wednesday, Friday, Sunday. Please noted that flight schedule can be changes anytime by the airline without prior notice.

The price you gave us is for "Deluxe house boat". What is the difference with "Super deluxe house boat" in price, etc.?What kind of sleeping arrangement is typical for the house boat? Mattresses on the floor or actual beds? Mosquito nets?

The Deluxe House Boat is smaller than Super Deluxe House Boat and only provide 1 Private AC Cabin. While the Super Deluxe House Boat provides 2 Private AC Cabin on boat. For Deluxe and Super Deluxe House Boat the boat owner has provided actual bed instead of Mattresses on the floor with Mosquito nets on boat.
